BroadStar's Community Choice program ensures that residents get the channels that they want. Just this month, residents at two BroadStar-connected communities worked together to drive change in their cable lineups.

Big10 Network added to Remington Ranch Lineup
BroadStar held a Cable Workshop at Remington Ranch in Simpsonville, SC in October. We worked with residents to make sure they were getting the channels they wanted in their packages and bundles. We reviewed how channel buying worked and how different combinations of channels affected overall package pricing. During the workshop, a resident who had recently relocated to Remington mentioned that he was a big Ohio State Buckeyes fan, and asked if we could add the Big10 Network to our lineup. Other providers would make customers pay extra for the Big10 Network, but we included it in Remington's basic lineup. Now all residents can enjoy the Big10's great college sports at no extra cost.

DIY Network Added to Puller Place Lineup
In November, a small group of residents at Puller Place contacted BroadStar with a request to add the DIY Channel to their Expanded Cable Lineup. From the makers of HGTV and Food Network, DIY Network is the television source for the best know-how and how-to when it comes to any type of do-it-yourself project and is one of the fastest growing digital networks. Upon receiving this request, BroadStar posted a Poll on the Puller Place Community Web Portal for residents to vote on including DIY, and if so, which channel it would replace. Within two weeks, a substantial amount of Puller Place residents voted to include DIY, and the channel change went into effect on December 12, 2007.

Our business is built around a principle called Community Choice. Residents are encouraged to create the cable, phone, broadband and home security packages that are right for them. Homeowners associations are empowered to build cable packages at pricepoints they want, getting channels that match community interests at rates unmatched by larger carriers. Community Choice extends to all of our services, from cable to security, phone and broadband.
